About us

Trusted Hawaii Travel Guides, Expert Research, and Practical Tips for Every Traveler.

About Hawaii Guide Hub

Hawaii Guide Hub is an independent travel guide to the Hawaiian islands — Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. We publish detailed, practical guides to beaches, snorkeling spots, marine life, hikes, food, and Hawaiian culture, written for real trip planning: where to go, what it costs, how to book, and what to watch out for.
The site is not owned by a tour company, hotel, or booking platform. Our rankings and recommendations are editorial decisions — no business can pay to appear in our guides.

Our Approach

We believe in quality over quantity. Every article is written to provide real value, not just to fill space.

Our approach is based on:

  • Clear and structured information
  • Realistic expectations
  • User-focused content that answers specific questions
  • Continuous updates to keep information relevant

We are committed to improving and expanding our content so that Hawaii Guide Hub becomes a dependable resource for anyone planning a trip to Hawaii.

Our Mission

At Hawaii Guide Hub, our mission is to simplify travel planning for Hawaii by delivering reliable, well-researched, and experience-driven content.

We believe that planning a trip should not feel overwhelming. Instead of sorting through scattered information, you should have access to clear guidance that answers real questions:

  • What are the best things to do in each location?
  • Which tours are actually worth booking?
  • How can you avoid common tourist mistakes?

Every guide we publish is built with these questions in mind.

How We Research Our Guides

Every guide on this site goes through the same process:

We start with official sources. Entry fees, reservation systems, opening hours, and wildlife rules come from the authorities that set them — NOAA Fisheries, the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR), the National Park Service, and the City & County offices that manage places like Hanauma Bay and Diamond Head. Where a rule matters, we link to the official page so you can verify it yourself.

We check current prices and availability. Tour prices, rental costs, and booking windows change constantly in Hawaii. We verify them at the time of writing and note when details were last checked.

We include the warnings others skip. Ocean conditions in Hawaii can be dangerous even at famous beaches. Where a spot requires strong swimming skills, has seasonal hazards, or has a real risk many articles gloss over, we say so plainly. We’d rather lose a click than send a beginner somewhere unsafe.

We update and correct. Travel information goes stale. We revisit our most-used guides regularly, and when a reader reports an error or a changed price, we verify and fix it. Every guide shows its last updated date.

What We Don’t Do

We don’t accept payment for coverage or rankings. We don’t publish sponsored posts disguised as guides. We don’t copy other websites’ content. And we don’t claim experiences we haven’t had — where we quote someone’s first-hand experience, it’s attributed.

How This Site Makes Money

Hawaii Guide Hub is free to read. The site earns money in two ways: display advertising, and affiliate links — if you book a tour, hotel, or rental car through certain links on this site, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never decide what we recommend; our full policy is in the Disclaimer.
